Of its mandolins and tambourines, out come the sounds. From the souls and voices of the tuna, out comes what distinguishes it: the spirit of the ESCS.
escstunis is ESCS’s academic tuna. Born on December 16, 1994, it has been spreading academic spirit and traditions all over the country in its various performances. The Tuna M' Isto, a festival organized by the escstunis that hosts tunas from all over the country, has been held annually since 1997. From 2003 to 2014, it took place in the Aula Magna of the Reitoria of the University of Lisbon, returning to its original venue, the Auditorium Vítor Macieira, in 2015 to commemorate the 20 years of existence of the escstunis. Currently, the escstunis has about 60 active elements, of both genders. Rehearsing weekly in ESCS auditorium, it never ceases to travel and take part in healthy gatherings — meetings, festivals, and academic week festivities.
