Objectives

• Exploring the role of media and digital technologies in shaping forms of human interaction, in social contexts and in culture, having as a central contribution the vast legacy of communication sciences and interrelating it with sociology and political economy;
• Knowing the complex relationships among technologically mediated communication, culture and society, thus contributing to the promotion of active citizenship and more conscious and informed socio-communicative practices.
