Objectives
- Analyzing the journalistic discourse as a representational practice and an instrument of power;
- Analyzing journalistic texts multifuncionality and ideologies and their respective articulation with other social practices and non-discursive moments (social context, the processes of texts production and texts consumption);
- Teaching/Illustrating, through several case-studies, how language, grammar, rhetoric and other discursive features can be operationalized in the analysis of specific texts;
- Raising students critical awareness of the impact of media discursivity.
