This subject aims to improve the students' linguistic competence and their mastering of the written expression, concerning the creation of different types of texts, grammatically correct, stylishly clear and structurally coherent. Being so, several critical aspects of the Portuguese language are approached, connected with a reflection about the structural and stylistic specificities of the main text records that constitute the communicational competence area of a Communication professional. By the end of the attendance of this subject, students should be able to have a reflective consciousness on the language functioning; write grammatically correct and structurally coherent statements; optimize the communicational efficacy of the written statements; plan, structure and write effectively a text concerning its typology and different means of communication.
